Work on the AWP Program reached an important milestone this week as half of the concrete needed for the structures and buildings was poured.
Located just north of Santee Lakes, 26,000 cubic yards of concrete so far has allowed portions of the advanced water purification, water recycling, and solids handling facilities to take shape. The visitor’s center slab work was also completed this week.
The team is currently working on leak proofing of concrete tanks, digesters, and aeration basins through water testing.
Take a look at these drone shots taken on October 12, 2023.
